February 2022 – Our fabrication shop is working on megapanels for the Harrisburg University Health Sciences building. The EIFS panel fabrication has been completed and crews are beginning to wrap the aluminum composite material (ACM) on the panels.

January 2022 – Most of the blast-resistant, concrete wall panels have been attached to the new federal courthouse in Harrisburg PA. The podium cap panels and hoist area panels will be hung in a few weeks. The building is projected to be ready for occupancy by late 2022.

November 2021 – Novinger’s Inc has signed a contract with INTECH Construction to fabricate approximately 70,000 square feet of megapanels for a new building on 5th & Spring Garden Streets in Philadelphia PA. This new 13-story, mixed-use (retail and residential) building was designed by BLT Architects. The 400+ panels will be oriented horizontally and have an aluminum composite metal (ACM) finish. Panel fabrication is expected to begin in February 2022.

October 2021 – Our crews have started working on the Forum Building Phase One Renovation project in Harrisburg, PA. This building is a 90-year-old historic structure with plaster walls, marble floors, wall and ceiling murals, chandeliers, brass railings, and many other art deco features. Extensive lathing and plastering will be done to restore the building in preparation for new state government offices.

August 2021 – Harrisburg University of Science and Technology has begun construction of a new Health Science Education Building in downtown Harrisburg, PA. Novinger’s Inc has been contracted to apply spray fireproofing to the structural steel and also to build exterior wall panels for this 11-story building.

June 2021 – Penn State University is renovating and expanding the Lasch Building (used by the football program) in University Park, PA. Our firm has been contracted to perform spray fireproofing for this project. Work is expected to begin soon.

May 2021 – We are pleased to announce that Chris Kichman has been hired as an Estimator. He is a second generation carpenter with 32 years of field experience on a wide variety of commercial projects. He is becoming proficient in the use of our estimating software applications and has completed ten estimates in his first few months of employment. We’re glad to have Chris on our team.

March 2021 – We will begin applying fireproofing material at a new public school building in Chester County, PA. Under the direction of Lobar Inc., Novinger’s Inc. crews will be applying cementitious fireproofing material to the new, three-floor, 298,000 square foot building, which will become the new Avon Grove High School for grades 9 through 12. 

February 2021 – Our fireproofing crews are actively working on the Penn State Health – Lancaster Medical Center building in Lancaster, PA. This is a new, six-story, 129-bed hospital with additional inpatient and outpatient services. We began work on this project in late 2020 and will soon be finished on-site. The new hospital is projected to open by Summer 2022.

January 2021 – We are pleased to announce that Randy Blank has been hired as a new Estimator for Novinger’s Inc. Randy has been working as an estimator/ project manager for several firms in the Baltimore/Washington area corridor for 42 years. While his focus was on estimating finishes (primarily drywall and ceilings), he is learning about the details of estimating costs on fireproofing jobs and on exterior wall panel projects.
